Multi piece construction, insignia in Gold with red, white and green enamels, mounted to a silver star base with twenty two protruding arms, each arm with three faceted emanating rays, maker marked "SOUZA. 107 RUA ADREA." on the reverse cartouche, measuring 71. 2 mm (w) x 73. 8 mm (h), dual prong vertical pinback, the insignia exhibiting chipping and loss in the green enamels on the leafing branch at 3
