The vines are between 30 50 years old. The Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes comes from 10 parcels spread across the village. Dark fruit nose, bit of reduction, then good perfume; a different kind of cherry intensity. Very fine tannins but a big wine. Lots of depth but with a light touch. Fine texture, long; finishing on the fruit.
