The tunic is constructed of field gray wool, featuring a turned down collar flanked by collar tabs, each constructed of a cardstock core with a green wool exterior topper, bright yellow piping on all sides, and bearing an L shaped silver aluminum wire tresse, measuring 33 mm (w) x 70 mm (l), indicating a rank of Gefreiter. The collar itself is reinforced on the underside
