Brazil, Independent Empire. An Order Of The Rose In Gold, Knight's Cross, C.1870 Hold with rope weight at bottom(Imperial Ordem da Rosa). Instituted on 17 October 1829. Likely of French manufacture with fine attention to detail, an attractive cross in Gold consisting of a white enamelled cross with Gold framing and ball finals, with three pink enamelled roses on green laurels in each quadrant (Inspired by the motifs of roses that adorned the dress of Amlie of Leuchtenberg, wife of Emperor Pedro I), obverse centre exhibiting the hand chiseled cypher of Pedro I,
